CHAIR
Tim, a Chartered Surveyor and originally from Oldham, moved to Ardleigh in January 1988. He played football and cricket for Ardleigh for many years before injuries - and age - took their toll. He joined the Parish Council in 1997 and was elected as Chair in 2005. He is also currently Chair of the Governing Body of Ardleigh St Mary's CE Primary School and is actively involved with Essex Junior Squash.

PARISH CLERK AND
RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
Rachel has worked for Ardleigh Parish Council since September 2019. She previously worked in Higher Education and the voluntary sector.
The role of the Clerk includes advising the Council on their responsibilities and supporting Councillors to implement Council decisions for the benefit of our community.
Sally has lived in Ardleigh for her entire life and is in her first term as a Parish Councillor. She hopes to assist in keeping Ardleigh a wonderful place to live for future generations.
Jayne has lived in Ardleigh since 1989, working alongside her husband in running their family business.She became a Parish Councillor in 2016.
Carolyn has lived in Ardleigh for 14 years and until retirement worked for The Prince's Trust and the NHS. She was also involved in her husband's business delivering organic produce across Essex. She is interested in rural issues, liaises with our PCSO and regularly checks on the condition of the cemetery. She is a member of the local Horticultural Society and will be working on our Neighbourhood Plan.
Clive has lived in Ardleigh for 15 years. He is a Chartered Engineer and has worked for BT for over 40 years. His two children attended Ardleigh St Mary’s C of E Primary school and are now at Manningtree High School. Locally, he has been active in helping to organise past village events, has been a trustee of the Millennium Green he enjoys sports and has been a member of Scouting for many years.
Emma joined the Council in 2021 and has lived in Ardleigh all her life. Many residents will know her as a driving force behind community initiatives such as the hampers for Kings and Queens of Ardleigh and for the visit of Father Christmas
Emma joined the Council in 2021- she moved to Ardleigh in 2019. Emma is an architect with an interest in local planning policy and has been a member of our Neighbourhood Plan working group since summer 2020. She is also a committee member of Ardleigh Court Residents Association and as well as being a practicing architect she teaches at the University of Cambridge.
Jonathan is a barrister, mediator and arbitrator and has lived in Harts Lane for the last 3 years. Jonathan is an active supporter of local businesses. A keen sportsman, Jonathan plays football and tennis and is a season ticket holder at Colchester United
Chris has lived in Ardleigh since 1990. He became a Parish Councillor for the second time in 2019. He has in the past been Vice Chair of Governors of St Mary’s Ardleigh and Treasurer of the Ardleigh and District Horticultural Society.
